Job Description
The primary purpose of the Operations Manager is to ensure the seamless planning, coordination, and execution of all operational aspects related to a sporting event in Saudi Arabia. This key leadership role involves overseeing various functional areas, collaborating with diverse teams, and managing resources to guarantee the successful delivery of a world-class event. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in creating a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for participants, spectators, and stakeholders alike. Through strategic planning, meticulous coordination, and effective team management, the Operations Manager contributes to the overall success and positive impact of the sporting event.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Planning and Coordination:
Lead the development of the
Dot Plan, ensuring alignment with overall event objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key timelines, priorities, and project milestones.
Oversee the creation of SOPs, key timings, DRS, and other essential event documentation.
2.Venue Management:
Manage and coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including HSE, Transport, Ushers, Ticketing-Access Control, Security, Cleaning, Catering and Waste and Accreditation.
Work closely with the venue owner, client groups, and vendors to ensure effective venue management.
Anticipate and address any scheduling changes, amendments, or coordination requirements.
3.Project Timelines:
Create, facilitate, and manage the company roadmap and master timeline to ensure successful project execution.
Provide regular updates to management and clients on project milestones and status against targets.
4.Team Leadership:
Lead a team of zone managers and sub-functional managers in planning and delivering various operational services.
Foster a collaborative and innovative operational culture within the team.
5.Special Events Management:
Manage coinciding special events, including VVIP functions, gala dinners, and internationally broadcast events.
Ensure all operational requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
6.Documentation and Reporting:
Develop and finalize event documentation, including Operations Plans, SOPs, Event Books, and Daily Run Sheets.
Provide timely and accurate information through weekly/monthly reports on project milestones.
7.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with government stakeholders to align operational services with their requirements.
Liaise with various departments, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and integration.8.Training and Management:
Train and manage the immediate production and operations team, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
Conduct ongoing forward planning for scheduled events and develop real-time event reporting tools.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior role in event operations within the sports industry.

Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
