SITE MANAGER

The primary purpose of the Site Manager role in the context of sporting events is to ensure the efficient and seamless execution of all on-site operations, creating an environment conducive to a successful and memorable event. The role encompasses various responsibilities, all contributing to the overall success and safety of the event.

1.Collaborative Planning:

• Work closely with the site, production, creative, and technical programming teams to establish a solid foundation for seamless event delivery.
• Brainstorm and implement event plans and concepts to enhance the overall experience.

2.Logistics and Setups:

• Conduct site reconnaissance, technical, and logistic assessments for event setups.
• Supervise crew and labor management to ensure efficient event logistics and setups.

3.Single Point of Contact:

• Act as the single point of contact for all production teams, addressing needs such as artist liaisons, security, protocol, spectator services, technical and artist riders, and equipment deliveries.

4.Site Maintenance:

• Manage the site, addressing any concerns in collaboration with production teams and sub-contractors.
• Ensure a keen observation of unidentified hazards and anticipate actions required for weather events and each new activity in the schedule.

5.Technical Coordination:

• Coordinate with technical contractors for installations, including audio, show lighting, and pyrotechnics.
• Responsible for setting up, testing, and operating lighting equipment during local and international events.

6.Permit and Documentation:

• Oversee permit-to-work admissions and manage related documentation for electrical, plumbing, and scaffolding PTWs.
• Lead the construction and layout planning of scaffolding structures.

7.Vendor Coordination:

• Work closely with vendors providing various services, including cleaning, branding, catering, machinery, and light towers.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely setup, maintenance, and dismantling of their respective areas.

8.Site Inspections and Safety:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of machinery and light towers to ensure uninterrupted services during the event.

9.Event Execution Oversight:

• Maintain a strong presence during build-up, operational days, and dismantling days, providing support and guidance to all teams and personnel involved.
• Manage and supervise the cleaning team to ensure a clean and presentable environment for participants and attendees.

10.Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including event organizers, vendors, and local authorities, to address any issues or challenges that arise during the event.

11.Branding Oversight:

• Oversee the branding process, ensuring correct placement and visibility of sponsor logos and event signage throughout the site.

12.Infrastructure Management:

• Manage the build for tents, cabins, bridges, and gantries on the Off-Circuit venue.
• Ensure assigned zones are powered and power lines are secure.

13.AVLX and Live Event Operations:

• Manage zones on Live operation days, ensuring all AVLX is functional for live event operations.

14.Operational Procedures:

• Coordinate with senior managers to implement operational procedures for vendors and suppliers.

• Strong knowledge of scaffolding structures and layout planning.
• Experience in coordinating AVLX setups for live events.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and crisis management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
